Who is Rosemary?
Good enough was my excuse for way to long!
I’ve settled in life more times than I’d like to admit, specifically with my career. I had successfully navigated many career changes both in and out of advertising, including a stint on the client side, but really started questioning what the hell I was doing at a job that I was just tolerating when there were so many more years ahead. I realized that the fear of failure, looking like I was giving up and not knowing where my talents could transfer was holding me back.
But one day I was at the gym and, as corny as it sounds, a trainer had on a shirt with this quote from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson:
“Success at anything will always come down to this: focus and effort. And we control both.”
This struck me as so true. I was the only thing getting in my way of making a change. I started devoting time exploring what I really wanted to be doing every day and once I understood what made me tick, I had a starting point. I began to explore jobs that aligned what I wanted to do, and then I overlaid how I could leverage my experience and contacts to get me there. I never thought I would have a happy and fulfilling job working to empower people to become the boldest, brightest version of themselves, but I proved myself wrong!
